Flags for the Fallen

Volunteers help build a sea of flags in honor of each of our Fallen Heroes. These flags will remain standing through the Rededication.

Virtual 10K Run/Walk/Hike/Ruck for the Fallen

Saturday, May 15 (Armed Forces Day) through Monday, May 31, 2021 (Memorial Day)

Participants will receive a shirt with a virtual bib, and the ability to compete for a medal by reaching established fundraising goals. The platform being utilized allows for the runners to be in the cockpit for their entire experience: fundraise, send notifications, share milestones on social media, and track their miles.

This event will be held at Tuscan Kitchen Seaport’s outdoor venue. The evening will bring together Gold Star Families, Veterans, corporate and civic leaders, and distinguished guests to raise awareness of the programs and services provided by Massachusetts Fallen Heroes.

Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Memorial Rededication Ceremony

The 5th Annual Rededication of the MFH Memorial will be the marquee event for Patriot Week 2021. The event will be a hybrid-based, in-person and virtual model which will feature a traditional-style speaking program with Gold Star Family members, Veterans, elected officials, distinguished guests, and the general public. This year’s keynote speaker is Medal of Honor recipient Staff Sergeant David Bellavia, United States Army. This event will be streamed live via all social media platforms and on MassFallenHeroes.org. MFH will update the glass panels at the Seaport Memorial honoring the service members who died in service during the years of 2019 and 2020.

Virtual Memorial Day Lesson Plan

Due to school closures we are not able to physically hold our educational program but, as Memorial Day approaches, MFH wants to offer a lesson plan about the true meaning of the holiday. The following daily activities serve to inform and engage our youth with relatable content. We encourage you to post with our daily #hashtags on your social media and we will be sharing your creations.

Patriot Panel

High-ranking military officers and government officials, defense contractors, and industry-related professionals will be invited to participate in an exclusive forum to discuss current world issues.

InnoVets Business Expo

POSTPONED TO 2022

Registered attendees will get to know the many local Veteran and Gold Star Family companies. Each business will have a booth to showcase their practice, speak about their products, and help cultivate future development and growth within the Boston Innovation Community. Each business will pitch their company in a rapid-fire, two-minute presentation where they will have the chance to address the public and give a compelling pitch for how we can help them continue to grow and thrive. Registered attendees will receive a handful of InnoVets bucks with which they can vote for their favorites. The most voted-for businesses will leave with some well-earned seed funding for their business.

11th Annual Memorial Dinner

POSTPONED TO 2022

This 10th annual event will be held in the same venue as the inaugural Memorial Dinner in 2010. The evening will bring together Gold Star Families, Veterans, corporate and civic leaders, and distinguished guests to raise awareness of the programs and services provided by Massachusetts Fallen Heroes.

The Memorial Dinner is black-tie optional.
