Sergeant First Class Eric Michael Emond Center for Excellence

Over the past year, our family at MFH has been processing the surreal death of our co-founder, Eric Emond. The tragic loss roused our drive and deepened our grasp of the meaning of sacrifice. Unknowingly, Eric had planned his own memorial. Though he may have physically departed, he left behind a doctrine of respect and tribute. As we celebrate our tenth anniversary, we pay tribute to Eric by establishing another legacy in his honor. The future of MFH includes a new space to call home: The Sergeant First Class Eric Michael Emond Center For Excellence (ECE).

Housing InnoVets Boston, this 5,600 square foot space is the next step in our mission to Support and Empower those we serve. This state of the art haven will be an accelerator, nurturing Veteran and Gold Star entrepreneurs as they move forward in life after loss and/or service. This space will include our first interactive memorial, allowing us to Honor our Fallen with more depth and Gold Star Family participation than ever.

“We are here because we are supposed to be here. Because we owe it to them; we swore we would never forget. We have a creed that says we will leave no man behind. If we did not take the time to HONOR them, we would be leaving them behind. If we did not work to SUPPORT the Gold Star Families, we would be leaving them behind. If we did not work hard to EMPOWER the Veterans that served alongside them, we would be leaving them behind.”
